A newly hand-knotted hurjeen, or saddlebag rug, made in the Afghan tradition by women weavers using a 50/50 knot density. Originally designed to be slung over a pack animal for travel, its compact, sturdy construction still carries that sense of portability and purpose. Named Rihla — "the journey" — it nods to the wandering dervish, whose spiritual path was often quite literally a physical road.
